Marvin Philip Kruesel
May 2, 1930 - September 11, 2021

Of Glendale, WI - Formerly of Naples, FL

Entered the heavenly gates on September 11, 2021 at Age of 91 years.  Marvin is the loving husband of Marian Rose Kruesel (nee Kleser) for 70 years.  Dearest father of Laura Jette (Carl), Linda Spindler (Dennis), Jeffrey Kruesel (Julie), Robert Kruesel (Sandy), Kathleen Fritsch (Dan).  Grampy of Chris (Christine), Tim, Jennifer, Melissa (Garet), Phillip (Megan), Andrew (Nicole), Peter (Laura), Elena, Nicole (Jeremy), Britney (Scott), Dan, Michael and Allison. Proceeded in death by James. The beloved great-grandfather to Adam, Patrick, Savannah, Hunter, Cai, Ella, Quinn, Leo, Greta, Kaylin, Nathan, Henry, Paige, Evelyn, Brooks and Clifford. Marvin was born to Leo Kruesel and Christine Bednarz (Kruesel) both preceded in death. 

Marvin was a proud member of The United States Naval Reserve. He attended Marquette University for Electrical Engineering. Marvin began his professional life as an apprentice with Magaw Electric. Marvin was a partner of KAP Electric Company from 1964 -2000 where he worked in partnership with his loving wife Marian and son Robert who joined the company in 1983.

He was a Member of National Electrical Contractors Association from 1948 till his retirement in 2003. Marvin was also a partner of Instrumentation Design Control Corporation. The State of Wisconsin appointed Marvin to be on the examining board of Architects, Landscape Architects, Professional Engineers, Designers, and Professional Land Surveyors for several years. He was also a member and served on the board of directors for the National Electrical Contractors Association Milwaukee Chapter from 1955 till his retirement. Serving as the chapter President in 1991. As well as being a member and served on the board of directors for Wisconsin Society of Professional Designers of Engineering Systems.

Sailing was one of his passions. Sailing, racing and cruising with family and friends was one of his most treasured pursuits. Marvin was a board member of both Midwest Sail and Trail and The Milwaukee Yacht Club. Among his other pursuits Marvin enjoyed deer, pheasant, and wild boar hunting in the company of his sons and close friends. 

Marvin and Marian retired to Naples, Florida where they enjoyed the company of their dear friends from Milwaukee and Naples. While living in Naples Marvin enjoyed being a member of the Voices of Naples. At the request of their children they moved back to Milwaukee in 2016 to be closer to family.

Visitation Monday September 20 from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Monica’s Catholic Church,  5601 N Santa Monica Blvd., Whitefish Bay, WI.
