Colette Marie Kenney (nee Contney)

Of Mukwonago, was called home by her Lord and Savior to join her husband Patrick on December 12, 2021 at the age of 82. She is the loving mother of Bridget (Jay) Christiansen of Mukwonago, Colleen Kenney of Milwaukee, and Shannon (Edward) GaNun of Savannah, GA. Proud grandmother of Katlyn Christiansen, Alexander Christiansen, Andrew Christiansen, Natalie GaNun, Jacqueline GaNun, and James GaNun. She is further survived by other relatives and many friends. Colette was preceded in death by her husband Patrick, parents Francis and Rose Contney, and brother and sister-in-law John and Dawn Contney.

Colette was a stay-at-home mom for her children during their formative years and then went back to college to earn her teaching degree. The majority of her teaching years were spent at St. John the Baptist in Plymouth, WI until her retirement in 2001. In her retirement years, Colette loved cheering on her grandchildren and their friends at sporting events and spending time with family and friends. She was a special grandma to many and a friend to all her met her.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021, at St. James Catholic Church (830 E. Veteran’s Way, Mukwonago) from 1 PM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 3 PM. Burial will take place on Tuesday, December 21 at 12 NOON at Calvary Cemetery in Fond du Lac, WI.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Colette’s memory to St. James Catholic Church or Linden Ridge Mukwonago.
