Robert M. Parrish
May 17, 1929 - January 7, 2022

Bob passed away peacefully on Friday January 7, 2022 at the Masonic Health Care Facility in Dousman, WI, after a long siege with dementia. He was born May 17, 1929, in Nashville, TN. His parents were Claudia and Joseph Parrish. Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Lou, and his son, Thomas E. (Corine W.); he was predeceased by twin daughters Kathryn May and Eleanor Louise.

He attended schools in Nashville, graduated from University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1951. He enlisted in the U.S Army, graduated from officer's candidate school in 1953, attended Army Language School and was attached to the National Security Agency until 1956. He went to work for IBM but left in 1965 to Join Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith. He had a 30 year career with Merrill and retired as a Vice President in 1995.
 
Bob had a lifelong interest in the Civil War and was a past president of the Civil War Round Table of Milwaukee. He was an active Mason, being past Master of ElmBrook Lodge, past commander in Chief of the Consistory of the Scottish Rite Bodies, as well as past member of Tripoli Temple, the Ritualistic Divan and the Jesters.
 
Bob was a past President of the Bond Club, past Board member and Trustee of the Wisconsin Club, past Board member of the Western Raquet Club.
 
Bob spent his retirement years enjoying many international trips with his wife. He had a long life with many friends, who will miss him.
 
No services are planned at this time. Memorials would be appreciated to St. Michaels Anglican Church, 2565 N. Genesee Street, Delafield, WI 53018; Employee Appreciation Fund, Three Pillars Senior Living Communities, 410 N. Main Street, Dousman, WI 53118; or to the charity of your choice. Bob will be laid to rest privately at Forrest Hill Cemetery in Madison.
