Jacob R. Schmidt passed away peacefully on January 19, 2022 at the age of 29 years at Froedtert Memorial Hospital, surrounded by family.  Jacob is survived by his loving family, father and stepmother, Ken and Deb Schmidt; brother Benjamin (Alyson) Schmidt; step brother Justin (Stephanie) Junek; step sister Amy (Chas) Nelson; grandparents, Ilse Schmidt and (Nana) Barbara and Jim Zimmerman; niece and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Susan Schmidt and grandfather Roger Schmidt. 

Jacob attended grade school at Divine Redeemer Lutheran School and Stone Bank School.  He graduated High School from Arrowhead in 2011 and earned a Bachelor's degree in Business-Supply Chain and Operations Management from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 2016.  

Jacob loved sailing and fishing with his brother Ben.  By the time he was 18yrs old, he was a respected store manager at McDonalds.  He recently started working as a manager at The Chocolate Factory and was quoted as a rising star.  He will be missed by all.  

A Celebration of Life for Jacob will be on Friday, January 28, 2022, at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home, 121 S. Cross Street, Oconomowoc, WI 53066.  A visitation will be held from 3:00-6:00 p.m. with the service beginning at 6:00 p.m.
