Gary R. Bauer
March 17, 1952 - May 7, 2022

Gary Ronald Bauer, age 70, was called home by the Lord on May 7, 2022. Gary was born to Albert and Doris (nee Trautmann) Bauer March 17, 1952, in Milwaukee.

Gary met the love of his life in Pam B. Struck and were married April 28, 1973, at the Covenant Evangelical Lutheran church in Milwaukee and shared forty-nine years of marriage together. They lived in Waukesha where they raised two amazing children, Beth (Tony) Knoeck and Jon (Danielle) Bauer. Cherished grandfather to six grandchildren, Austin, Trey, Jax, and Ashley Knoeck and Mikenna and Aubrey Bauer. Dear son of Doris and the late Albert Bauer. Beloved brother to Jim (Sandy) Bauer. Brother-in-law of Kurt Struck, Richard (Debi) Struck, Mary (Mark) Rosenthal and Brenda (Ken) Powalka. Uncle of Tiffany (Armen) Amirkhanian, Taylor (Kaitlyn) Bauer, Laurie (Sean) McCarthy, Aaron (Soma) Struck, Kimberly (David) Johnson, Andrew Rosenthal, Karina (Casey) Nickels and the late Ryan Struck. Further survived by other relatives, many friends and his fur babies, Eden and Cassidy.

Gary grew up playing trombone in the church accompanied by his brother on the trumpet. After graduating from Milwaukee Lutheran High School, he pursued a music degree at UW-Whitewater but followed his interest for the automotive industry.

Beginning as a lot attendant for Jack White Ford, he advanced to General Manager at Nodell Cadillac, culminating his automotive career at the John Amato Group. He worked as a personal assistant to Gregory and Cherylanne Marx at Precision Innovations until his retirement at which time he and Pam moved to Wisconsin Rapids and became members of Good Shepard Lutheran Church.

Gary loved the peaceful setting and watching wildlife out his front window. He enjoyed displaying his collector vehicles at car shows, tending to his saltwater aquariums, cooking and trying new recipes from the Food Network. He also found joy playing dominos and cards and traveling to sporting events and musical concerts for his grandchildren.
