The Egan clan is deeply mourning as we sadly announce the passing of our dad, Michael J Egan. The man who lit up the lives of his family and many friends for over 96 years passed peacefully on July 14th, 2022.

Mike, formerly of West Allis and Pine Lake, was Irish through and through. His shenanigans and blarney were legendary as was the love he bestowed on all of us. 

He will be greatly missed by his children: Bonnie (Ed) McMahon, Patrick (Julie), Michael (Jane), Dennis (Sandy), Kathleen, Christine (Bill) Dess and Terese (the late Thomas) Slattery. He was loved and adored by his 23 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Theodore (Judy), cousins and many nieces and nephews.

He was a retired Milwaukee Road engineer, not ever missing a day for 36 years. As a member of the Greatest Generation, Mike proudly served in the 410th army infantry in WWII.  

A Military funeral will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery-Union Grove on August 23rd at 9:00 AM.  Visitation to follow beginning at 11:00 AM until time of Memorial Service at 12 Noon at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, 3722 S 58th St., Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Mike’s name to the Lutheran Home or the Fisher House Foundation.  

The Egan family would like to extend their love and deep appreciation to the entire staff of 3NW at the Lutheran Home, who became like family this past year. Mike is now once again in the arms of his beloved wife, Pat.
