Janet L. Glaub
May 5, 1937 - July 7, 2023

(Nee LeMahieu) Found peace on July 7, 2023 at the age of 86 years. Eldest child of the late Marvin and Lorraine (Rammer) LeMahieu. Beloved wife of the late Wayne. Loving mother of Mark (Sheri), Bruce (Leah), David (Tien) and Karen (Bruce) Schuyler. Caring grandma of Konrad, Jared, Emily, Megan, Alex and Daniel. Dear sister of Sandy Hering, Peter (Peggy) LeMahieu, Pat (Eloise) LeMahieu, Sheila LeMahieu-Ramsey, Marsha (Jeff) Hildebrand and the late Terry LeMahieu. Further survived by other relatives and friends.  Jan was an incredible big sister to her siblings and a wonderful mother and grandmother.

Jan went to high school in Sheboygan Falls, WI and was a proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.   We have fond memories of her football game routine which included arriving early and staying late to listen to the band and sing along with everyone. Varsity!

Her adventurous life included packing up her family and moving to the Netherlands when her husband Wayne was transferred there to work.  This was no easy feat in the 1970s, but she managed it so well.

Throughout her life, Jan took every opportunity to travel the world.  She loved to learn about history and the arts and was equally passionate about these things at home. She and her friends enjoyed many events at the Racine theater, symphony, and zoo.

Jan tirelessly donated her time and talents to advance the education and health of women.   The American Association of University Women (AAUW) and the Women’s Health Initiative were organizations close to her heart.  She also brought her incredible work ethic and organizational skills to her job supporting the mental health field, until her retirement at age 70.

It seems there was nothing Jan couldn’t do, all with a smile and loads of energy.  We will miss her dearly but take comfort knowing she is dancing again with Wayne.
