Born to Eternal Life on September 11, 2023 at the age of 84. Loving wife of the late David. Cherished mom of Elizabeth O’Malley, Jennifer Ablan, Margaret (Robert) Kolasinski, Michael (Tammy) and Ann (Thomas) Dudek. Proud grandma of Nathan, Lauren, Katie (Tim), Joe, Virginia (Sean), David, Chuckie, the late George, Alec, Evan (Mary), Tommy, Kimberly (Chris), Allyssa (Drew), Paige (Max) and Michael. Great-grandma of Brayden, Charlotte, Davie, Farrah, Veda, Virginia, Jaxon and Ari. Beloved daughter of the late Anita Liska. Sister of Lenore Friedli. Preceded in death by her brothers and sisters-in-law. Further survived by her brother-in-law Gil Carlson, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Joan was a wonderful mother. She was an excellent cook and loved to bake for her family. She also loved to paint and work outside in her garden.

Visitation will be Wednesday September 20, 2023 at St. James Catholic Church, W220 N6588 Town Line Rd. in Menomonee Falls, from 10am until Mass of Christian Burial is celebrated at 11am. Procession to St. James Rosehill Cemetery after the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Ronald McDonald House in Milwaukee are appreciated.
