Margot Griesbach, age 64, of Mequon, died at home on September 30, 2023, surrounded by her loving family after a 20-month battle with glioblastoma. Margot handled this terrible disease with the same dignity and grace with which she lived her life; she was truly an inspiration to many.

Margot had numerous interests and special pastimes. She enjoyed baking, traveling, walks with friends, Mahjong and similar games, but her true passion was golf. She was an active member of North Shore Country Club for over 23 years and had countless friendships there.

Margot was truly the heart and soul of her family. As a wife, mother, and grandmother, she was a source of inspiration, unwavering support, and boundless love. Love and relationship were Margot’s “superpower”; hers was a life filled with extreme kindness, selfless generosity, and love for others, but especially love for her children and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margot’s name to the Village of Thiensville Park Improvement Fund, 250 Elm Street, Thiensville, WI 53092 to help fund the construction of a children’s “SplashPad” would be appreciated.

Margot’s family would like to thank the staff and oncology team at Froedtert/MCW for their compassionate care, with special thanks to Dr. Jennifer Connelly and her entire team.
