Lorraine “Lori” Ellen Borchardt passed away on October 27, 2023, at the age of 100 in Summit, Wisconsin. She was born on July 14, 1923, in Elderon, Wisconsin. Lori was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt.
Lori was a woman of deep faith and had a strong love for Jesus. She trusted in Jesus as her Savior in 1979. She was a terrific listener and prayer warrior for her family. Her devotion to them was fierce, and she cherished every moment spent together.
She was the loving mom of her two daughters, Jan (Frank) Comaris and Judie (Tom) Trepczyk. Lori was also a devoted grandma to Troy Comaris, Shawn (Sam) Comaris, Michelle (Brian) Tedford, and Bethany (Kyle) Berg. She delighted in her great-grandchildren, Emily and Hudson Comaris, Brayden and Amelia Comaris, Jackson, Rylee, and Lincoln Tedford, Tucker, Ariya, Luna, and Baby Berg. Lori was a kind sister to Dale (Joyce) Bessette, sister-in-law to Bernice Bossell and Johnny Borchardt. She was a treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Borchard, and her siblings Pete (Jean) Bessette, Joyce (Ted) Schaar, Denny (Joan) Bessette, Sherry (Normie) Hegewald and Ronny Bessette.
A memorial service will be held in Lori’s honor at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, located at 10121 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa, WI 53226. (Caution the ramp off of I-41 to North Av. is closed for construction.)
Visitation will take place on Saturday, November 11th, from 2-4pm, followed by a service at 4:00pm. All are invited to join for a dinner following the service in the funeral home community room. Additionally, a burial will be held on Sunday, November 12th, at 2:00pm at Forest Home Cemetery in Wittenberg, WI, with a meal following at Chet & Emil’s Restaurant in Birnamwood, WI.

Lorraine (Lori) Borchardt will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love and faith will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
