Born 8/31/1938 passed away peacefully on 12/21/2023 surrounded by his family. Brother to Dr. Masoud (Karen) Saedi, Hamid (Nazli) Saedi, and Farimah (Vahid) Ghodsi. Loving uncle to Hanieh (Brad) Saedi Weckwerth, Dr. Hoda Saedi, Dr. Hasti Saedi Fashandi, Shabnam Ghodsi, Farzad Ghodsi, and Stephen Saedi. Great uncle to Haley Weckwerth and Emma Madison.

Born in Tehran, Iran, Dr. Saedi immigrated to the United States in 1966 and began his lifelong career as a dedicated cardiothoracic surgeon. He completed residency work in multiple states, including: Illinois, Texas, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and eventually Wisconsin where he carried out the remainder of his practice before retiring. Performing close to 6,000 bypass surgeries, Dr. Saedi was a pioneer in his field, and helped navigate with his team to perform many first time, life saving procedures including the first bypass surgery on a transplanted heart. If you didn't see Dr. Saedi in the operating room, you could find him on the golf course, playing golf until the sun went down. His words of wisdom and life lessons were heard and appreciated by family and friends. To know Dr. Saed Saedi, to truly know him, was to know the most gentle, kind hearted soul. 

His love and devotion was felt immensely by his family. May you rest in eternal peace Amu (Uncle) Saed.
