Jackson Scott Szypszak, beloved son of Scott and Shelley of Mequon, WI, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, leaving a void their family cannot fill. 

Jackson graduated from Homestead High School (HHS) in 2021.  He played football (#7) for HHS.  Jackson loved to fish, known for his quote, “got to be chunky to catch chunky.” Along with playing Poker, his many friendships and being Up North on Muskie Lake were some of his many passions. 

Jackson attended Western Tech in La Crosse, WI and received his degree in Welding & Fabrication.

Jackson will be remembered as determined, passionate, and always a bit sassy. His beautiful smile, eyes, and sense of humor had you hooked the first time you met him.

Jackson was obsessed with railings, aspiring to work on commercial buildings.  He took pride in his work and noticed poor welding workmanship. Jackson made sure that anyone who would listen knew he could do it better.

Precious son of Scott and Shelly. Adored brother of Emma. Grandson of Jon and MaryAnn Lund, and the late Robert and Roselyn Szypszak.  Nephew to Cindy Lund, MaryAnn Gandrey, and Mike Szypszak.  Best cousin to William, Luella, and Jimmy. Jackson touched the lives of many other family & friends.

Jackson will be missed by all.

Visitation and memorial service for Jackson will take place on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Crossroads Presbyterian Church, 6031 W. Chapel Hill Road, Mequon, WI 53097.  Visitation from 12:30 PM until the time of the memorial service at 2 PM.    

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial to the Charles E. Kubly Foundation or the Kranich Foundation.
