Lucy was born in 1926 and grew up on a farm in Stockbridge, Wisconsin with her six siblings. Several years after graduating from high school, she moved to Milwaukee where she attended Business College, got a job and made many life-long friends. She met and later married Richard in 1959 and after living several years in Shorewood, they purchased a home in Wauwatosa where they raised their family. Once the girls were in school, Lucy returned to work and spent almost 25 years at Wauwatosa City Hall in a variety of roles. Lucy loved to travel and toured Italy, Peru, Hawaii and other destinations with her husband. After retiring, she traveled to Europe with her daughters enjoying the various cultures from Ireland and England to Paris, Prague, Germany and Austria. Over fifty years of monthly bridge club along with memberships in the Suburban and Wauwatosa Women’s club kept her busy when she was home in Wauwatosa.
The family would like to thank the staff at Newcastle Place and Horizon Home Care and Hospice for their compassion and care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to Hear Wisconsin or Vision Forward Association are deeply appreciated.
