Helen "Ann" Kowalczyk passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024 at the age of 86. She was born October 30, 1938 in McLeansboro, Illinois to the late William Arthur and Mabel (Jones) Erskine. 

Ann will be lovingly remembered and missed by her best friend and love of her life for 51 years, David Kowalczyk, and their two children, Casaundra (Geoffrey) Butz and Craig (Monica) Kowalczyk, seven grandchildren: Anthony, Matthew, Michael and Catherine, David, Kolbe and Stephen, as well as her sister Mary Allred and other relatives and friends.

Ann was an extraordinary teacher for much of her life, who touched countless students and people. Most importantly, she had a profound love of her Faith and cherished her family, in whom she enjoyed all the more in these recent years. 

Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 12 PM Noon on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at St. Jerome Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary or Hosea's Heart are appreciated.
