Ruth Marie Kohlbeck
August 8, 1930 – December 20, 2024

A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend was born to Eternal Life on December 20, 2024, at the age of 94.

Ruth M Kohlbeck of Hubertus, WI, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family. Ruth was born on August 8, 1930 in Hubertus, WI to John & Anna (nee Heindl) Wenninger. She was born and raised on the family farm in Hubertus and was the 7th of 10 children. On November 17, 1948, she was united in marriage to Jerome F Kohlbeck. Ruth was the loving mother of Susan (Robert) Polega, Betty (Brion) Miller, Mary (Michael) Heagney and Donna (Jeffrey) Klotz. Proud grandmother of Mike (Kathy) Polega, Nicole Karizs, Noelle (Robert) Layman, Rob (Anita) Stuesser, Kristi (Robert) Brooks, Michelle (Luis) Ayabarreno, Matt (Cara) Heagney, Anna (Derek) Niemuth and Karina (Jason) Steers; twenty-one great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Ruth is survived by her sisters, Jean (the late James) Konrath and Joan (the late Walter) Breu, brother-in-law, Frank (the late Nancy) Kohlbeck, three sisters-in-law, Rose (the late Jerry) Yauck, Donna (the late LaVerne) Kohlbeck and Pat (the late Elmer) Kohlbeck, as well as many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Ruth worked at D&L Manufacturing for 43 years assembling small motors used primarily for an iron lung, a medical device used to treat polio patients. She retired at the age of 65 and became the beloved caregiver of her youngest grandchildren Anna and Karina. Ruth was an exceptional cook and baker and took pride in her home. She loved playing Sheepshead and could play for hours. She was a gift to her family and always put them first in her life.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, John & Anna Wenninger, husband, Jerome; siblings, Lucille (Roy) Gangware, Otilda (Andrew) Gundrum, Bernice (Francis) Pfeiffer, Herbert (Cecelia), Eugene (Judy), LeRoy (Freida) & Jerome (Joyce) Wenninger; and several brothers and sisters in law.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 10:30AM - 12:30PM at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 1200 St. Gabriel Way, Hubertus, WI, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30PM. Private burial at St. Hubert’s Cemetery.
