Jack L. Spooner
May 4, 1930 - January 30, 2025

Jack was born to his loving and doting parents, Dr. A. Lloyd and Ethel O. Spooner in Fort Dodge, IA on May 4, 1930, while embracing eternal life, January 30, 2025, age 94. Jack is pre-deceased by his loving wife of 59 years, Germaine “Gerry” Spooner.  Jack leaves behind his loving children, Michael (Karen), Mark (Kelly), and Sandy Truntz (Mike), along with his loving granddaughters, Monica, Madeline, Margaret “Maggie”, Chelsea, and Jessica.  Jack was also a proud great-grandpa to Oakley, Carter, Jaida, Walker, and Auden. His family will always miss him and love him dearly.

Jack graduated from Iowa State University in 1952, was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War, and resided in Mequon for 67 years. He was employed as a financial advisor for Robert W. Baird & Co. nearly his entire professional career. Jack had many close friendships, most notably, Jean Schwerdt, after they both suffered the loss of their spouses.  Jack was a man of fine integrity, had many friends, and was very interested in how he could share his generous spirit with them. Jack was a man who lived life to the fullest and was always “on-the-go”, finding many opportunities to enjoy his day, in many different ways.  He was happiest when his day included his favorite activities with family and friends. 

Private services for the family will be held in the Chapel within Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend, Wisconsin, on February 3, 2025. Entombment will follow immediately after Jack’s celebration of life services. Memorials in Jack’s memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
