Our beloved Bridget Catherine O’Donoghue passed away surrounded by her family on June 3, 2025, at the age of 29. Everyone who knew Bridget knew her smile; it was the first thing you noticed and the last thing you’d forget. Bridget brought happiness everywhere she went. Her laugh could soften even the hardest day, and her Irish eyes sparkled with warmth. 

Bridget’s love was felt in every kiss, every snuggle, and in every moment she lit up when someone clapped with her. She made you feel it, fully and deeply, with a heart so big it wrapped around everyone she met. She didn’t need words to speak volumes.

She was our angel on Earth, and now she’s our angel in Heaven. 

Bridgie loved watching The Little Mermaid for the hundredth time, savoring a McDonald’s cheeseburger, and sitting in the sun while her dad played Irish music. She lived fully in the present, reminding the rest of us to slow down, laugh more, and love endlessly.

She is deeply missed by her parents, Michael and Mary; her sisters, Deirdre (Jacob Lorig) and Siobhan; her grandmother, Nora King; and a large, loving family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She now joins her treasured Papa (Daniel O’Donoghue), Bebe (Helen O’Donoghue), and Grandpa (Sean O’Donoghue) in eternal peace.

Bridget also leaves behind a fluffy crew of Bernedoodles who adored her as fiercely as her family did.

To be loved by Bridget was to experience something rare—pure, joyful, and completely unconditional. The ache of losing her is deep, but so is the gratitude for the gift of having known her.

A celebration of Bridget’s life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 734 Glenview Ave., Wauwatosa, from 10 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. All who loved her are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Bridget’s name to Fairview South School, a place that brought her great joy and helped her thrive.
