Therese Elaine O'Rourke (nee Gundrum) of Butler, WI passed away on Friday October 31, 2025, at the age of 84.  Therese O'Rourke was born in May 1941 to John and Marie Gundrum in Butler Wisconsin, where she grew up and lived most of her 84 years.  Therese was one of 12 siblings, 7 Brothers and 4 Sisters. Therese married Thomas O’Rourke in 1959, they went on to have 4 children. She was the loving mother of Thomas O'Rourke Jr., Daniel (Shelly) O'Rourke, Diana Qualman and Gerald (Linda) O'Rourke.  

Proud grandma of Zachary O'Rourke, Brandon (Clarisse) O'Rourke, Kyle (Katie) O'Rourke, Katie (Matt) May, Jason Qualman, Michelle (Anthony) Pryal, Justin Qualman, Aaron (Lindsey) O'Rourke, and Ashley (Scott) Burns. 

Great grandma of Ainsley, Ada, Isabelle, Cameron, Jack and Noah.  

Therese became a Lunch Lady at St. Agnes School in Butler.  After many years of serving lunches, Therese went on to working at One Hour Martinizing also located in Butler.  She retired at 62 to be able to enjoy her bingo, traveling to Las Vegas with her siblings and spending time with her family.  Therese loved playing cards and UNO Attack along with many other games. But most of all, Therese so loved the company of her family. 

Therese’s family would to extend a special thank you to Horizon Hospice Care for being such a support in helping with Therese’s wish to be able to die in her beloved home of 53 years.  Therese was loved by many and will be terribly missed. 

A memorial gathering for Therese will take place at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Menomonee Falls (N84 W17937 Menomonee Ave) on Wednesday November 12th from 4:00 pm to 5:45 pm.  A memorial service will begin at 6:00 pm followed by a gathering immediately after.  A private family inurnment will be held later at Pinelawn Cemetery.
