(née Kearney), age 79, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2025, in Bluffton, South Carolina. She was born June 28, 1946, in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. She was a devoted wife, mother, nana, sister, and friend whose unwavering love for family and deep Christian faith guided every step of her journey. Kathy is survived by her beloved husband Jeff; her children Stacy (Adam), Doug (Carol), and Chad (Lenore); and grandchildren Abby, Katie, John, Alex, Jeff, Audrey, Lauren, and Avery. She also leaves behind her brothers Dan, Mike, and Tim. She is now reunited in heaven with her parents, Edward and Nora Kearney. Family was the heart of Kathy’s world. As a mother and nana, she nurtured those around her with boundless care and compassion. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life.
A dedicated member of the Lumen Christi parish, Kathy served as an Eucharistic Minister, offering spiritual support to others. She also volunteered at Children’s Wisconsin/Milwaukee Hospital where she provided comfort not only to young patients but also to their families. Kathy had a remarkable talent for interior design and was an exceptional seamstress. Her creativity transformed spaces into welcoming sanctuaries and brought beauty into everyday life. Those who knew Kathy will remember her as one of the best storytellers they ever met. With warmth in her voice and sparkle in her eyes, she could turn any moment into a treasured memory. Her ability to connect deeply with others made lifelong friends out of strangers. Kathy’s passion for life radiated through everything she did. Her legacy of kindness, laughter, and love lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Lumen Christi Parish, 2750 W Mequon Rd., Mequon WI.
