Gerald "Jerry" Lee Bergemann
March 25, 1932 - November 14, 2025

Age 93, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 14, 2025. Born on March 25, 1932, Jerry lived a long, full life defined by friendship, laughter, and a deep passion for the things—and people—he loved.

Jerry served in the US Army during the Korean conflict from 1952 until 1954 - fighting in what he called, "the battle of Juarez". Professionally, Jerry was a semi-truck driver hauling over the road, as well as locally. In his free time, he always found joy in driving his cars over the countryside with family and friends.

For the past 43 years, Jerry made his home in Clintonville, Wisconsin, where he collected, and showcased classic cars, especially his beloved Cadillacs. He had a gift for finding unique vehicles, proudly sharing them at old-car shows, and then passing them along to the next enthusiast. His cars weren’t just a hobby—they were a connection to his memories, community, and joy.

Jerry cherished his original Clintonville home - the infamous farmhouse, a place filled with camaraderie, cookouts, and unforgettable weekends with his close-knit group of friends from Germantown, Menomonee Falls, and Eau Claire. Those gatherings were some of his happiest times, and they left stories that will be retold for many years to come. Jerry's second Clintonville home on Lakeshore Road was also the scene of group holiday get-togethers, cookouts, terrific conversation sitting outside, and continued friendship.

He is survived by two nieces, April Truman (nee Bergemann) and Cindy Wendt (nee Bergemann), in addition to a great nephew, Alan Bergemann, who carries forward the family’s legacy of love and remembrance.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Alice (nee Pingle), his brother Paul Bergemann and wife Doris (nee Schultz), his sister Shirley Stelmach (nee Bergemann) and her husband Richard, and nephew Cliff Bergemann.

Jerry will be remembered for his easy smile, his love of classic cars, and the warmth he extended to everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. His life was rich with friendships, memories, and the simple pleasures he appreciated most. He will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park-Chapel of the Flowers on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 10AM until 11AM. There will be a service shortly thereafter followed by military funeral honors. Friends and family are then invited to celebrate our memories of Jerry by having lunch together.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Gary Sinse Foundation.
