Dorothy Magdalena Bednarczyk
November 2, 1933 - November 28, 2025

(Nee Zagorski) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Magdalena Bednarczyk, on November 27, 2025, at her home in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, where she lived for many years. 

Born on the farm in the town of Grover, Wisconsin, to William and Magdalena Zagorski, Dorothy was the oldest of 11 children. She attended Lakeview School until the eighth grade and later graduated from Medford High School. Throughout her life, she exemplified the values of hard work and dedication, first as an employee at the United States Pentagon, second Singer Controls and later at Danfos. 

On July 17, 1954, she married Richard E. Bednarczyk, who proceed her in death, and together they raised three children: Susan Bednarczyk, Raymond Bednarczyk (Thyra), and Diane Emmert (George). Dorothy was a loving grandmother to her grandson, Austin Szydel, whom she adored, as well as to her step-grandchildren, Holly, (Kyle) Pett, Kristin (Bill) Lookatch, and many other step grandchildren.  

Dorothy is survived and proceed in death by her siblings and their spouses: Margie Kalmon (Frank deceased), Patricia Pichler (Robert, deceased), Stanley Zagorski deceased (Nancy), Benedict Zagorski (Pat), Richard Zagorski deceased (Donna, deceased), Joseph Zagorski (Josie), Steven Zagorski, deceased (Joan, deceased), Barbara Neils (Ronald, deceased), Samuel Zagorski-deceased (Theresa), and Sandra Zagorski. She also leaves behind numerous beloved nieces and nephews. 

Throughout her life, Dorothy opened her heart and home to many, offering unwavering support and countless opportunities to her siblings and their children, including her beloved nephews William, Ryan, and Justin Zagorski. Together with her husband Richard, she dedicated herself to serving others by providing meals to the elderly through Meals on Wheels and bringing the Eucharist to residents at Sage Nursing Home as part of their cherished Eucharistic Ministry. 

As she is welcomed into eternal rest, we find comfort in the words, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!” Matthew 25:21, knowing that Dorothy fulfilled her purpose through her love and devotion to her family.  

A visitation will be held on December 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at noon at St. James Catholic Church, W220 N6588 Town Line Rd, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051. A Celebration of Life will follow in the Spring. 

Dorothy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
