Mary Carol (Canda) Wredling, of Burnett, Wisconsin, formerly of Aurora, Illinois, passed away Friday, December 26, 2025.
Mary Carol was born to Gerald and Mary Edith Canda, May 17, 1930, in Toledo Ohio. The family then moved to Pulaski, Ohio, where Mary Carol was raised. She graduated from Bryan High School with the class of 1948. She was employed a number of years as a stewardess for TWA, based out of Chicago, and promoted to superintendent of hostesses for Chicago and Detroit, Michigan.
Mary Carol married E. Donald Wredling May 24, 1958, in Bryan, Ohio. They raised three daughters, Barbara, Mary Beth and Nancy, and son, David, while living in Aurora, Illinois.
Mary Carol was employed by and retired from Aurora Pediatric Clinic as the office manager. She and Don moved to Oconomowoc, Wisconsin in 1991.
Mary Carol was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She sewed wonderful Halloween costumes for both her children and her grandchildren. She loved animals and had a number of dogs and cats throughout her life. While living in Aurora, she was a member of the Child Welfare Society and played in a bridge club each month with a fun loving group of ladies.
Mary Carol is survived by her daughter, Mary Beth (Paul) Hoefle, of Burnett, Wisconsin, their children Mary Elyse Austinson (Mark), Mitchell Hoefle, and Matthew Hoefle (Marissa); her daughter Nancy (Ralph) Sells of Surprise Arizona, Nancy’s children Nick Davis (Katie) and Joseph Davis (Kate) and son David Wredling (Nancy) of Cordova, Tennessee, their children Patrick Wredling and Lora Lucus, and daughter Barbara’s son, C.J. (Carla) Peleuses. She is also great grandmother to Cassidy and Ayden Peleuses, Braelyn and Bennett Davis, Mary Katherine and Cora Austinson. Mary Carol also leaves behind cherished friends and memories in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don in 2002, a daughter, Barbara Featherstone in 2008, her parents, and a sister, Geraldine Brenner in 2018.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, no visitation or funeral services will be held.
