Yolande Melkonian (nee Vitali) entered Eternal Life on January 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. A longtime resident of Fox Point, Yolande was the beloved wife of Abdallah Melkonian, MD, with whom she shared a devoted marriage and life together for more than 50 years.

Yolande was a loving and proud mother of Robert (Piper) Melkonian, Nancy Melkonian, Sylvia (Richard) Schwartz, Kathleen (Mario) Cherubini, Annette (Larry) Conrad, and Michael (Jennifer) Melkonian. She was an exceptionally proud grandmother of Melissa, Tony, Amanda, Alex, Trevor, Andrew, Devin, Ryan, Katherine, Anna, Kayla, Nikolas, Caleb, Ellie, Lauren and a cherished great-grandmother to Evelyn and Dmitry.

She is further survived by extended family members and many dear friends who were touched by her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to family.

Yolande’s greatest joy in life was her family. She took immense pride in her children and grandchildren and treasured time spent together. Her love, encouragement, and quiet strength were the foundation of her family, and her legacy lives on through them.

Yolande will be remembered for her deep love for family, her grace, and the pride she held for each generation that follows her. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
