SULLIVAN, WI - (née Meintz) Went home to heaven on March 15, 2026 at Rainbow Hospice in Johnson Creek with her family by her side.

Beatrice was born on June 9, 1928 in the house her father built in Sullivan. She lived in this house except for a short time when she worked at Carnation as a secretary in Oconomowoc. She attended schools in Sullivan and Palmyra. She married Edward Rowland on November 24, 1951. They had three children Diane, David, and Dennis.

Beatrice is preceded in death by her parents Bill and Elsie (Scheel) Meintz, her brother Ralph, her baby sister Esther, and her husband Ed.

She is survived by her children Diane (Mike) Plumley, David, and Dennis; her grandchildren Mandy and John (Molly); and her great grandchildren Jack, Beatrice, and Emma.

She worked and volunteered for many years at Bethesda in Watertown. Beatrice belonged to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sullivan her entire life. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s. She belonged to the Ladi’s Aid and played dart ball. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

The family would like to thank her in-home caregivers Sandy and Traci, the compassionate staff at Doctor’s Court Clinic, Watertown Regional Medical Center, and Rainbow Hospice for the care and support they provided.

Visitation will be held from 11 AM until the time of Funeral Service at 12 PM Noon on Friday, March 20, 2026 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, W407 Hwy 18, Sullivan. Burial to follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John’s Lutheran Church or donor’s choice is appreciated.
