James entered into Eternal Life on March 15, 2026 at the age of 88. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Anna (nee Basile) and his eldest son Jimmy "Wheels" Bruske.  Cherished father of Annette (Fred) D'Amato, Edward Bruske, Maria (Tom) Benson, Laura Bruske, Gina Barron, and his best buddy, son Michael Bruske. 

Jim was a man of simple pleasures, cigars in the sunshine, a ride by the lake, and any and all baseball games.  However, he was crazy in love with ALL of his grandchildren and great grandchildren, keeping track of each one of them!  Grandchildren:  P.J (Katie) Orlando, Nick (Coleen) Orlando, Ashley (Bryan) Brooks, Joseph (Courtney) D' Amato,  Gino (Mary) D'Amato, and Isabella Navarro.  His Great grandchildren: Dominic, Luciano, Sophia, James, Brody, Cade, Levi, Alfred, Gianna, Antonio, Aurelio, Magdalena, Roma, Freddy, Aurora, Loretta, and Legacy.

Jim spent his entire life on the east side of Milwaukee, a lifelong member of St. Rita parish where he went to school as did  all of his children.  It was entirely fitting then that he should spend his last years living at St. Rita Square Assisted Living.  We thank all of the staff at St. Rita Square for all they did to make his time there better.
