Carol A. Kaja (née Lucas) of Germantown passed peacefully on April 7, 2026 surrounded by family at the age of 76. Loving mother of Sarah (Joshua Seltzer) Kaja and Michael (Kimberly) Kaja. Caring grandmother of Anderson and Reese. Beloved twin sister of Carl Lucas and dear sister of Edward (Connie) Lucas. Preceded in death by her brother and his wife Donald and Barbara Lucas. Further survived by other family and friends.

Carol was a dedicated elementary school teacher in the Germantown School District, an avid reader, lover of British period pieces on PBS, and a passionate gardener.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 15 at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home, N84W17937 Menomonee Ave, Menomonee Falls, WI, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to PBS Milwaukee. 

(Menomonee Ave is under construction and the funeral home main entrance is open for traffic coming westbound from Appleton Ave. but not east bound. There are two other entrances to the Funeral Home. One is on the east side off of Shady Lane and the other is on the southwest side off of Town Hall Rd.)
