Ann F. Abele November 21, 1945 – April 7, 2026 Passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 7, 2026, at age 80. Loving mother of Naomi (William) Weisgerber and Rachel (Chad) Eixenberger. Doting grandma of Hailey, Kayla, Sabrina, Nathan, and Talia. Dearsister of Sarah (Fred) Gage, sister-in-law of Mary Anne (Larry) Wiggins and Michael Abele (Debra Roberts). Loving aunt of Joshua Gage (Rowan Beckett Minor), Kimberly (Dan) Gear, Abbey (Jeff) Cowens, Christophe (Holly) Abele and Candice (George) Cole. Ann is further survived by her great-nieces and great-nephews, other family members, and many loving and cherished friends. Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 28 years, Ron, her cherished son, Richard Werner, and devoted parents, Russell & Helen Fisher. Ann was born in Perth Amboy, NJ and raised in Wilmington, DE. She attended and blossomed at Juniata College. She attended and helped arrange her college reunions for many years. Ann graduated with a degree in home economics. She was a great cook, baking special cakes for her grandchildren’s birthdays. But her real passions were sewing, quilting and knitting. Every baby received a quilt, every wedding couple received an afghan, every special occasion and Halloween was outfitted in clothes or costumes sewn by Ann. Ann loved all things Disney. In addition to numerous trips to Disney World, Ann had Disney clothing, Disney watches, Disney ornaments, Disney artwork, and every Disney movie. You name it, if it was Disney, she had it. On the many excursions she and Ron took, they always made visits to the local lighthouses, adding to her collection of lighthouse art. Though she had no pets growing up, she was an animal lover in adulthood, cherishing her granddogs. Ann will be missed dearly by all who knew her. May her kindness and compassion live on in our memories. Visitation will be held on Sunday May 31st at Congregation Sinai (8223 N Port Washington Rd, Fox Point) from 1 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 2 p.m. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the teams at Fairway Knoll and Brighton Hospice for their wonderful and compassionate care.
