Of Sussex. Called home to the Lord on May 16, 2026 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Roberta (née Weber) for 60 years. Loving dad of David (Kimberly) Haasis and Michele (Kevin) Anderson. Proud grandpa of Tony, Jake (Anthony), Josh, Chris, Noah (Emily) and Caleb. Brother of Maureen (Jim) May. Further survived by other family and friends.

John made a career as a tool and die maker. He loved traveling and working with wood.

Visitation will be held at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home, W250N6505 Hwy 164, Sussex, WI 53089, Saturday, July 25 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Private burial at Sunnyside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Humane Animal Welfare Society - HAWS of Waukesha County.
