Sandra Ann Braunschweig (nee Stamm), 82, of Oconomowoc, WI passed away May 20, 2026, at Towner Crest Senior Living, Oconomowoc.

Born on May 27, 1943, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Leroy and Betty Stamm, Sandy grew up on a small farm in Okauchee, WI, where she was one of five children. 

She graduated from Oconomowoc High School in 1961.  Sandy was devoted to raising her three children while working as a dietary supervisor at Shorehaven Retirement Home.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Oconomowoc, WI and later in Watertown, WI.

On September 9, 1972, she married the love of her life Charles Braunschweig.  Together they were avid sports fans, hosting Packer parties for friends and family, and spending many weekends at the ball diamond supporting the Johnson Creek baseball team.  Chuck and Sandy shared many wonderful years together raising children, enjoying up north vacations and having a bunch of fun.  Sandy loved playing Sheepshead, Euchre and Farkle.

She is survived by one son, Ted (Christine) Saxe of Crivitz WI; one daughter, Gina (Todd) Wehmeyer of Oconomowoc, WI; a sister, Vicki Antonneau of Oconomowoc, WI; a brother Timothy Stamm of Iron Ridge, WI; Brother-in-law Jim (Cyndi) Braunschweig; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Chuck Braunschweig; son Troy Saxe; Brothers Gerald Stamm and James Stamm.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, 121 S. Cross St. Oconomowoc, WI from 10am until the time of service at 12pm noon.  Inurnment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Johnson Creek.
