Murphy, Michael J. “Mike”

Entered into Eternal Life on June 30, 2026 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Karen for nearly 52 years. Proud dad of William (Jennifer) Murphy, John Murphy, Dr M Timothy (Cynthia) Murphy and Kathleen “Katie” (Colin) Schulz. Grandpa of Elle, Zoe, Anthony, Michael, Lillian and Sebastian. Brother of John (the late June) Murphy. Uncle of Stephanie, Christopher, Patrick, Debra, Elizabeth, Allison, Amelia, Michael and Adam. Preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Murphy.

Mike started his journey leading the Cub Scouts in 1987 and then transitioned to the Boy Scouts of America in 1996. He was proud to have earned his Wood Badge. He was appointed to the Eagle Scout Review Board in 2006.  He had a passion for anything outdoors; including hiking, fishing, and camping- basically anywhere that made it uncomfortable to sleep. Mike was also an avid reader and loved SCCA racing.

Visitation will be Monday July 13, 2026 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, N88 W17658 Christman Rd. in Menomonee Falls, from 10am until time of Memorial Mass at 12pm. To honor Michael, the family requests that everyone wear bright colors to celebrate a life well-lived.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Boy Scouts of America or to Horizon Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
