Age 71. Passed away on July 21, 2026 surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Jessie (nee Meszaros) for 45 years. Loving dad of Angie Blasewitz (Peter Jameson) and Tracy Rode. Proud grandpa of Nicholas Blasewitz and Camille Smith. Brother of Dale (Jeanne) Blasewitz, and Diane (Todd) Klug. Brother-in-law of Bill (Gail) Meszaros and Susan (the late Randy) Matthews. Uncle of Drew Blasewitz, Kyle Blasewitz, Emily Kotka, Ben Bensman, Amy Rosenau, Valerie Lesperance and Brian Matthews. He will be missed by his fur-babies Jasper, Nala, Sasha and Butters. Preceded in death by his parents Curtis and Dorothy Blasewitz and his sister Kathy Merrell. Further survived by other relatives and many dear friends.

Dave loved live music and dancing with Jessie. He especially loved to listen to jazz. He was an avid golfer and reader.
