On September 17, 2026, heaven welcomed home one of its very best. Dennis M. Martin, of Mukwonago, passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior at the age of 68, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, generosity, laughter, and unwavering faith.

To know Dennis was to know kindness in action. He was the guy who showed up. The one who offered a hand before you had to ask. The one who believed that life's greatest purpose was found in loving God, loving people, and making the world a little better than he found it. He never met a stranger, rarely sat still, and gave of himself freely to family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and anyone fortunate enough to cross his path.

Above all else, Dennis was devoted to his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kim Martin (née Schilling), married for what he affectionally described as "39 years of marital bliss." Together they built a life filled with faith, laughter, and unconditional love.

He was a proud and dedicated father to Tracey (Cody) Pritchard and Kelly Martin. Dennis passed along much more than lessons on fishing, card games, and enjoying the outdoors. He taught by example what it means to work hard, love deeply, and to always be willing to help someone in need.

Perhaps no title brought him more joy than "Grampa." He adored his grandchildren, Cooper and Cheyenne Pritchard, who will forever carry his love in their hearts.

Dennis is also survived by his siblings, Patrick (Lynn) Martin, Brendan Martin, and Kate (Chris Conrad) Martin, along with many other beloved relatives and countless friends whose lives are better because he was part of them. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Avis Martin.

Professionally, Dennis spent his career happily "crunching numbers" and "counting beans," but the people who knew him understood that what he was really doing was building relationships. He concluded a remarkable career with Beyond Vision, an organization and mission that captured his heart. He often spoke of how much he loved his work there and the opportunity it gave him to serve others while making a difference.

His commitment to service extended far beyond his career. Dennis faithfully served at Mount Olive Lutheran Church for more than three decades, giving generously of his time, talents, and leadership. Over the years, he served in numerous leadership and board roles, helping guide and support the church he loved so dearly. More than any title he held, Dennis was a steady presence, a trusted friend, and a willing servant. His faith was not something he reserved for Sunday mornings. It shaped the way he lived each day.

When he wasn't helping someone else, Dennis could often be found enjoying many of the things that brought him joy: cold PBRs, good music, Wisconsin sports, time at the lake up north, birdwatching, fishing, perusing antique auctions, and making memories with the people he loved most.

Dennis gave away his time, his talents, his laughter, his encouragement, and his love in abundance. And because of that, his impact will continue long after his earthly journey has ended.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church (211 Main St., Mukwonago) from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be directed to two of the causes that held special places in Dennis’ heart and life, Beyond Vision (Beyond Vision Donations) and Mount Olive Lutheran Church (Mount Olive Generosity).
