Elvira M. Wirth (nee Reutemann), 98 of Menomonee Falls, WI passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026.
She was born on January 8, 1928, in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland and spent her life mostly as a wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.
She came to North America in 1951, moving with her husband from Toronto Canada to Milwaukee, WI in 1956. She and her family also spent several years living near Syracuse, NY before moving back to Wisconsin. The couple were also snowbirds, spending winters of their retirement years at their home in central Florida.
Elvira’s interests included baking European style cakes and cookies, knitting, and traveling back to her beloved hometown of Stein am Rhein in northern Switzerland.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Hans Wirth (also from Switzerland) in 2018 and her daughter Marianne Berens in 2022.
She is survived by her son John Wirth and her son-in-law Mike Berens both residing locally in SE Wisconsin. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren from Wisconsin, Illinois, and central New York.

Private services will be held for family and friends. In lieu of flowers or trees, the family welcomes donations to the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County.
