Janet R. Fischer, 87 was called home to the Lord on Saturday, January 29, 2011.  Janet was born in Milwaukee on October 9, 1924 to Genevieve (Bouchard) and Erwin Riemann.  She married Kenneth M. Fischer on February  23,  1946, and together made a wonderful home for their four sons.  Janet was a devoted and supportive mother to her sons and their families all her life, guiding them and sharing many important life lessons with them.  Janet was a member of St Anthony’s Parish in Menomonee Falls as well as the faith community at Alexian Village in Milwaukee.

Janet will be missed by her sons Kenneth Fischer, Milwaukee, Michael (Shirley) Fischer, Neenah, and granddaughter Erin, San Francisco, Thomas (Julie) Fischer and grandsons Jason (Maggie), Joseph and Joshua, Menomonee Falls and James (Kim) Fischer and grandson Luke, Germantown. Janet will be further missed by her great granddaughter Lacey Fischer, her niece Mary (Krach) Wambold and her family, nephews, Michael and Martin Krach and their families.

Janet was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Kenneth, her parents Genevieve and Erwin Riemann and her sister Marion Krach.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday February 1st at 10:00AM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church  N74 W13604 Appleton Ave. Menomonee Falls(MEET AT CHURCH). Burial church cemetery. Visitation Monday 4-7PM with a vigil at 7PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
