(nee Jankowski) Cindy died peacefully and with grace on August 28, 2013 at the age of 76 years, following a sudden illness. Beloved wife of the late Jerry. Devoted mother of John (Pam), Kathryn (Rob) Schmid, Laura (David) Jones, Mary (John) Thomas, Eric, and Mayette (Christian) Garcia. World’s greatest grandmother to Kristine (Darrin) Springer, Elizabeth, Joe, Kyle, Trent, Abby, Emma, Kara, J.T., Michael, Nikki, and Katrina. Loving great grandmother of Ellie. Dearest sister of Sandi Nelson and Michael (Arlene) Jankowski. Further survived by other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by her parents Henry and Estelle Jankowski.

Visitation on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the Funeral Home from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Visitation Parish, 1260 Church St., Elm Grove. Private entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to The Christ Child Society are appreciated.

Following her education at Carroll College, the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, and Cardinal Stritch, she was employed full time as a mother, grandmother, servant of God, and tireless volunteer. Cindy embraced every obstacle as an opportunity to grow and learn. She was an amazing example of kindness, generosity, independence, and living her faith for her children, family, friends, and all who knew her.
