Nelson, Helen B. (nee Krell), of Sussex, formerly of Freeport, IL, Bettendorf, IA, Minneapolis, MN, & Cedarburg, WI, entered Eternal Life on Monday, October 21, 2013 at the age of 89 years. Beloved wife of the late William “Bill” Nelson. Loving mother of Debra (Kurt) Kenzler, Sandra (Steve) Abitz, Sonja (Hank) Chapman, Ted Nelson, & Kurt (Erin) Nelson. Proud grandmother of Amy (Brandon) Meyers, David Kenzler, Kara Kenzler, Kate (Andrew) Lewandowski, Leslie (Aaron) Abitz, Becca Abitz, Carson Chapman, Will Chapman, Haley (Cody) Holt, Derek Nelson, Quinn Nelson, Elise Nelson, and great-grandmother to Gabriel Holt. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Helen was preceded in death by her siblings Ethel Sarles, Darius Krell, Ruth Ezell, Dorothy Kempel, & Mildred Slattery.

Helen was a member of Sussex United Methodist Church. She delighted in visiting with her family, friends, and neighbors and was an avid bridge player. Helen loved flowers and spent many summers enjoying Big Cedar Lake. 

Visitation for Helen will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013 at Sussex United Methodist Church (N63W23523 Main St. Sussex, WI) from 2 PM until time of Funeral Services at 4 PM. Interment for Helen will take place on Saturday, October 26 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens (2514 IL Rt. 26 South, Freeport, IL) at 1 PM (please meet us at the cemetery).
