Beth Ellen Patterson
January 15, 1949 - May 19, 2014

Beth Ellen Patterson, 65, a resident of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, was called home to the Lord on Monday, May 19, 2014 after a courageous battle with pulmonary hypertension and congenital heart disease. Beth was the first born of four children to the late Russell Willam Weber and Meredith June Weber (nee Culver) of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was the beloved wife of Larry Kent Patterson for over 26 years.

Beth was born and raised in Milwaukee, attended Wisconsin Lutheran High School and New Mexico State University at Las Cruces.

Beth retired as manager from Milwaukee County and partnered with her husband Larry as owners of Ellen Kent Studios, a professional wedding photography business they had for several years.

Beth loved listening to music, singing everything from pop tunes to arias, laughing, being with her family and friends, reading books, writing poetry and researching genealogy. She volunteered her time at a local senior center, assisting the residents with daily activities and providing musical entertainment. Beth delighted in all things bright and beautiful. She was an amateur gemologist, had been a licensed cosmetologist, and enjoyed making everything and everyone look the best they could be. She loved flowers, especially roses. She loved animals, especially her cats Luke and Leia. She was a lifelong student who never stopped learning and researching all that interested her, she was fascinated by ancient history, the golden ratio in math, the science of nature, and philosophy. She studied Hebrew and Greek and became an expert Bible scholar. Beth was a wonderful teacher who loved to share stories and life experiences with family and friends. Beth was tall, beautiful, intelligent and a shining presence to all who knew her. She was strong and logical and compassionate and loving and had natural leadership abilities. In fact, she was the queen of her household all the way to the end.
