Passed away unexpectedly after surgery on February 3, 2017 at the age of 42. Beloved husband and best friend of Lisa. Proud dad of Greyson and Lachlan. Dearest son of Ken and Iris Hartje. Caring brother of David Hartje, Kathy Hartje, Becky Wolfe and Kristi Hartje. Dean will be greatly missed by other relatives and many friends.

Dean proudly served the U.S. Navy from 1993 to 1999. He married Lisa on March 22, 1995 in Orange, CA. After his Navy service they moved back to Wisconsin to start their family. Dean attended WCTC and earned his degree in Mechanical Design. He was a proud employee of Gearbox Express. Dean was a member of the American Legion Post 188 of East Troy. He loved his Sunday morning trips to McDonlads with his boys and the old guys. Dean was an excellent husband, father, son, brother and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday February 11, 2017, at the FUNERAL HOME, from 12 Noon until the time of Funeral Service at 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family for Greyson and Lachlan’s education would be greatly appreciated.
