Madge A. Voltz
December 14, 1929 - May 29, 2017

Passed away May 29, 2017 at the age of 87 with family at her side. Born December 14, 1929 to Madeline Crain Albright and Earle S. Albright in Indianapolis, Indiana. She married Roger E. Voltz in 1951, and they shared 50 wonderful years together. Madge was devoted to child development and education her entire life. She graduated from Milwaukee Washington High School in 1947 and Milwaukee State Teachers College in 1951. It was there she met her lifelong love, Roger Voltz. They married and moved to Ohio where Madge taught Biology and PE. They returned to Wisconsin in 1952 and started their family of 7 children. Madge volunteered for many years at Lincoln School Library, taught Sunday school, answered a crisis line for the Milwaukee Co. Mental Health Center, worked at the Milwaukee Public Museum, and served in the Wauwatosa Faculty Wives Association. Madge loved to garden, play Scrabble and Bridge, make art, read to the little ones, talk politics and was fascinated by the wonders of the natural world. Because she shared those interests so generously with her children and grandchildren, they continue to enjoy them today. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roger E. Voltz, her siblings and their spouses, Earle (Shirley) and (Molly) Albright, William (Barbro) Albright, and Kay (Robert) Bixler. Beloved mother of 7 children Susan (Brian) Lochen, Elizabeth Voltz, Patricia (Richard) Gaber, Charles Voltz (Stacey Rimmerman), Roger (Susan) Voltz, Jennifer (Tim) O’Connell and William (Agnes) Voltz. Madge is further survived by her sister Elizabeth Albright (Nancee Houska), grandchildren Sara (Nat) Love, Seth (Jamie) Lochen, Katrina Voltz, Alyssa (Paul) Karklus, Lucas O’Connell, Greta (Jeff) Pano, Hanna (Juancho) Cano, Rikki Gaber (Sean Caffrey), Charley (Jennifer) Gaber, Derek Voltz (Alexis Pallen), Max Voltz, Ella Voltz, Adam Abughazaleh, and Erin and Michael Jobling, great-grandchildren Rose, Patrick, Adele, Sabine, Zoey, Lila, Charlie, Natalya and Nora, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends young and old.
