Veronica Vogt, 72, of Bonita Springs, Fla., died peacefully amongst family and friends after succumbing to a seven-year battle with lymphoma. Veronica was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Gary (2014). She was the beloved mother of Victoria Brown (Atlanta, Ga.) and Geoffrey (Amy) Vogt (Estero, Fla.) and cherished grandmother to Severin Vogt (12), Audrey Brown (11) and Marin Vogt (9). And, effervescent friend to many.

Veronica grew up in Wauwatosa, Wisc.; she graduated from Wauwatosa East High School and matriculated from the University of Wisconsin Madison. She and Gary moved to Ft Lauderdale in 1969 where they raised their family.  They were members of Lauderdale Yacht Club and Ft. Lauderdale Country Club.   Veronica enjoyed playing tennis and was an “A” player for many of the years until she took up golf, where she also excelled.

Upon Gary’s retirement, they split their time between Bonita Springs and Highlands, N.C. Throughout her battle with lymphoma, Veronica was supported by her family and many friends through countless prayers and acts of support.  Veronica, an only child, created a large virtual family of friends, all of whom felt her strong love.  Veronica will be remembered and admired by many of these for her strong Faith throughout her fight.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University, Office of Gift Records, Emory University, 1762 Clifton Rd. NE, Suite 1400, Atlanta, GA 30322.

Services will be held at Schmidt and Bartelt in Wauwatosa, WI on June 5, 2017 at 12:30 PM with Visitation beginning at 10 AM. Burial to follow at Boltonville Union Cemetery with a reception after for family and friends to remember Veronica.
