I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your dear mother and grandmother, Joan. I hold very fond memories of Joan as I taught with her at Zion and Cushing Elementary. Joan was so bright, interesting, and she loved nature. I believe she developed the nature trail at Zion Elementary. I learned so much from her and will always remember how she inspired her students and truly loved teaching first grade! She always had an interesting story to tell too. May you find peace this day and treasure all of the wonderful memories you have of Joan.
