Born in Wauwatosa, John was a lifelong resident of Wisconsin, graduating from Marquette University in 1956. During the Korean War, John served in the Army, spending two years stationed in the Korean Peninsula as part of the Korean Military Advisory Group. John was proud of his military service and had the honor of participating in an Honor Flight in 2016. Upon returning from Korea, John began his career in Sales working for Harnischfeger in Milwaukee where he met his bride-to-be on a business trip to Escanaba, Michigan. He soon joined American State Equipment in West Allis as a salesman, rising to the position of Vice-President of Sales and earning numerous sales awards prior to his retirement in 1993.

As a father, John taught his children many things. Hard work, discipline, and love. He enjoyed his gardens and puttering around the yard. There was never a job you couldn't do for yourself first or a project that required professional help-until it did. He was famous for his Manhattan's, which were enjoyed by many. As a husband, his love for Pat was shown daily and was a great lesson to his family. He will be remembered as a good man, one of strong convictions and strong heart.

A visitation for John will be held Mon. April 16 at St. James Catholic Church, W220 N6588 Town Line Rd., Menomonee Falls from 10 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 12 Noon. Burial will be at St. James Rosehill Cemetery, Sussex. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight of Wisconsin are appreciated.
