~ Dwight Nelson, PLATTEVILLE, WI

Absolute class act coach was. His former Lincoln Comet players admired him and he sure did admire them. He always made it back to Walnut Street days to pay homage to all his former players from Lincoln and their families.

~ Jim Gosz, MILWAUKEE, WI

~ RIP ~ Coach... Thanks for the time you had for me, many years ago. As a young coach you help me so much! My prayers to you and your family. You did it the right way.....with class and always caring....Coach Luther

~ Coach Luther, Pewaukee, WI

In behalf of the Wheaton (IL) College Alumni Association we offer condolences to the Wadewitz Family. Dick was a valued varsity basketball player for the legendary Coach Edward A. Coray playing on the finest Crusader teams in the late 1940s. Only two of his teammates remain alive (Jack Swanson & Chuck Schoenherr) who treasured their relationship with Dick and his brother Ozzie. Dick remained a loyal alumnus and will be greatly missed.

~ Ray Smith, Carol Stream, IL

My deepest condolences to the Wadewitz family. I had the utmost of respect for coach. I was extremely fortunate to get to play for coach Wadewitz. I met my best friends, and my wife of 40 years because coach gave me an opportunity to play ball at UW-Platteville. He was a kind man who thought me a lot. I was blessed to get to know him and to play for him.
Sincerely,
Rob Sutherland

Blessings to you on a great man, life well lived. Our joy to have begun IVCF at your kitchen table in UW-P. HE, our LORD, has been exalted in all Dick has accomplished leading young men and women through their lives. I have always respected you two as a couple.
