James “Jay” Bleiler passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2019 at Lawlis Hospice in Mequon following a 8 month battle with cancer. He leaves his wife of 35 years, Marylee (nee Miller) Bleiler; brother, Steve Bleiler of Portland, OR; sister-in-law, Dee Y. Miller; sons Andy Bleiler of Smyrna, TN and Chris Bleiler of Portland, OR and daughter, Melinda “Mindi” (nee Bleiler) Stover of Walterhill, TN and 7 grandchildren.

Jay was born and raised in Whitefish Bay, and moved to Mequon in 1968. During his life in Mequon, he served as one of the founding members of the Optimist Club, Homestead Booster Club, as well as the President of his subdivision for 8 years. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the North Hills Country Club in Menomonee Falls for 10 years. He also loved to boat and fish on Lake Winnebago.

Memorial service was held April 23, 2019. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Lawlis Family Hospice, ℅ Columbia St. Mary,s Hospital, 13111 N. Port Washington Rd. Mequon, Wi 53097 in remembrance of Jay.
