Mackay "Mac" Riemenschneider
February 14, 1977 - April 29, 2019

Mackay "Mac" Riemenschneider, 42, of Sullivan, Wisconsin passed away unexpectedly Monday, April 29, 2019 at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital with his beloved wife, Nicole, by his side.

Mac was born on February 14, 1977 at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital to Bill and Peggy (nee Tetzlaff) Riemenschneider. Mac was married to Nicole (nee Lennox) on November 04, 2006 in Dousman, WI. Mac was a graduate of Kettle Moraine High School and attended the University of Wisconsin Platteville where he received a degree in Agribusiness.

As a boy, Mac dreamed of being a farmer. His dream started with collecting toy tractors and blossomed when his parents purchased a farm in 1992. Until his death, Mac spent nearly every day on the farm growing crops and raising cows, pigs, and chickens to sell at his store, R-Farm. Without Nicole’s support, Mac would not have been able to follow his dream of farming, and together they produced high quality meat from farm to table. Anyone could come to R-Farm on Saturday mornings and find Mac and Nicole working the store. If you had the time, Mac would talk your ear off about sustainable farming, the benefits of natural meat, and just about any topic that happened to come up. He loved to reminisce, laugh, and shoot the shit with just about anyone. Mac was a dedicated husband and father. He passed his love of farming, his love of life, and his huge heart on to all of his children. Watching them run around the farm, help with the animals, try to build things, and learn to operate equipment gave him incredible joy.

Mac is survived by his loving wife Nicole; five children, Mac Jr., William, Charlotte"Lottie", Henry and Phoebe; father, William "Bill"; brother, Ryan (Angela) Riemenschneider; and nine nieces and nephews. Mac was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy; stepmother, Linda "Lulu"; and his grandparents, Walter and Antonia Tetzlaff and Richard and Mary Riemenschneider.

Memorial services will be held Saturday May 11, 2019 at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Oconomowoc from 12pm (noon) until a Sharing of Memories at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family appreciated.

If you are attending Mac's funeral there is no need to change from your barn clothes.
