Dear Tim,
Dan and I are so sorry for your loss! She was such a beautiful person... though we only met a few times at the Vintners - her gentle and sweet nature shown through despite her sickness... "May the angels lead her into paradise...May God grant her eternal rest!"

~ Kathleen Heckenkamp, OCONOMOWOC, WI

Although I never met Ashley, she made a great impression on me and hundreds more of my friends and associates. I belong to a transplant support group that Ashley also was a member. I have, (like many in my group, found my thoughts drifting to Ashley and her family today. It amazes me that I and so many of the transplant family, have grown so fond and affectionate towards a young lady we had not met or even communicated with. Everyone here has pulled and prayed really hard for Ashley. I think we all wanted to, and looked forward to getting to know her. I think many of us, (including me) expected her to get better and share her story with us for the foreseeable future. And although we know Ashley has gone on to her heavenly home and would ask for nothing else, we still feel a little cheated that we didn’t get our chance to share her life. I truly believe that it takes a special person to invoke that kind of an emotional response from people she had never met. All my prayers are with Ashleys family today. I pray, may your sadness and grief be tempered by the memory of her love and of her kind and sweet spirit.

I met Ashley thru The Liver Transplant Facebook page. She seemed like a kind soul. I am 9 post transplant and was pulling/praying for Ashley to join us all on the post-transplant side. I was so saddened to hear that her fight was over. God Bless you Ashley and your family

Ashley once told me that she felt like a mermaid who'd lost her tail. She now has an extraordinary, heavenly one.
May God surround all of her family as they embrace a new normal.
