Finished the race and joined Jesus, his Lord, on November 5, 2008 at the age of 55 years. Loving husband and best friend of Chris (nee Rahn). Loving father of Lisa (Joe) Basile and Andy (Nicole). Loving “goofy” grandpa of Joe, Jade, Jake and Micah. Dear son of James and Rose Marie. Special brother of Warren (Melinda), Karen (Danny) Piersall and Janece (Craig) Von Allmen. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He will be deeply missed by his furry lap buddy Bonté. Visitation on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Meadowbrook Church, 1025 N. 70th Street, Wauwatosa from 4 PM until the time of service at 7 PM. Private family burial at Arlington Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Meadowbrook Church, NorthBridge Church or the Olive Tree Community  appreciated. Don was a graduate of Michigan Tech., an engineer for G.E. for over 32 years, a longtime member of The Gideons International, and a proud member of the Devotion to Motion Ball Room Dance Team…Most importantly he was a devoted follower of Christ. “I will miss you, Pookie.”
