(nee Gill) of Mequon – Age 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13th, 2020. Preceded in death by her husband Jerry L. Moorbeck, daughter Cinthia M. Moorbeck, parents Leonard J. and Mary B. Gill, and sisters Patricia Sokolowski and Roberta Balistreri. Survived by her son Jeffrey Moorbeck and her daughter Jill Moorbeck; grandchildren Lisa Hall, Guenther Moorbeck, Emil Moorbeck, Alicia Schanen, Andrea Schanen, DeeAnna Banks, Nick Schanen; great grandchildren Rion and Liam Hall, Jakob Green, Mikquel and Naliah Banks, Tyriq Price, Kayden Schanen and Indigo Miller.

Georgianna, Gigi to all her friends, grew up on Milwaukee’s east side on Cramer Street. She attended grade school at Saints Peter and Paul Parish and went to high school at Holy Angels. Gigi and Jerry lived in Shorewood after getting married and moved to Mequon where they finished raising their children. Gigi was active in their parish, Lumen Christi, and other organizations, most notably the Whitefish Bay Women’s Club. She loved gardening, playing bridge and gathering with family and friends on holidays and special occasions. Her Christmas cookies were a special treat everyone loved.

Gigi was a very loving, kind and generous person. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends, but she gave all of us very special memories and a lifetime of her love.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 24th at Lumen Christi Catholic Church, 2750 W. Mequon Rd., Mequon, WI. Visitation will be from 10-11:00am, Mass will follow at 11:00am.
