Philip L. Gutter
May 16, 2009 - July 25, 2020

Philip Langston Gutter, 11, resident of Milwaukee, WI was born May 16, 2009 in Fond du Lac, WI.  On July 25, 2020, the gates of heaven opened to receive Philip, his loving mother, Megan Marie Haak and his adoring grandfather, Mark Paul Haak after a tragic car accident in Togo, Minnesota.

Philip is survived by his proud father, Booker T. Gutter III of Milwaukee, WI; his older brothers, Evan Harrison Gutter and Onel Mateo Robles of Milwaukee, WI; his second mother, Diana Robles of Milwaukee Wisconsin; his paternal grandparents, Booker T. and Lady Margaret Gutter of Milwaukee, WI; his maternal grandmother, Margaret Haak of Fond du Lac, WI; grandparents by choice Raul and Olga Robles of Milwaukee, WI; uncles Mark (Heather) Haak of Phoenix, AZ; Joseph (Kristi) Haak of Theresa, WI; aunts Catherine (Mohammed) Bey of De Pere, WI; Molly (Joel) Spaulding of Ripon, WI; Abby Haak of Milwaukee, WI; aunts B. Thassanee Gutter-Parker (Kenneth) and Belen Gutter Walton (Charles) of Atlanta, GA; numerous cousins, and many other (great) aunts and uncles, and, his very best-friend, Quentin along with his parents, Kelly and Nick Marrazza.

Philip, a rising 6th grader at Bayside Middle School, was an exceptional student who excelled in all classes, but he had a special passion for math and reading.  A talented athlete, Philip truly loved spending endless hours playing basketball.  He also enjoyed creating YouTube videos with Evan and Quentin, and with his brothers and father, playing video games and spending time with the family’s dogs.  Although many first noticed Philip as he was so handsome, his true golden spirit was demonstrated by his character as an exceptional young man who was kind at heart, funny, and steadfast with a competitive spirit.  He also greatly loved his many cousins and friends.  Philip planned to be Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court. He was a very special little boy.  Philip will always be remembered and he will always be with us.

Services to honor Philip and his mother, Megan, will be held at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home, 10280 N. Port Washington Rd, Tuesday, August 4th.   Visitation will be from 4:33-5:33. The number 33 represents Philip’s basketball jersey number.  Services honoring Philip and Megan will be held immediately following the visitation.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, all attendees must physically distance and bring a mask to wear.  There also will not be a repass due to COVID-19 precautions.

The private entombment will be held Wednesday, 5 August 2020.
