He was one of a kind and will be sorely missed. I recall one summer, he was selling Brittanica Encyclopedias door to door and memorized an entire set verbatim. He was able to recall any page in any volume with perfect recall.

Ray was a dear friend of my father John Carr. They shared a lifelong love of music, of art, of culture. I still have many black and white photos of my childhood thanks to Ray's keen eye. One with my sister Sarah has long stayed on our mantle. May his memory be a blessing.

Ray was a great friend of ours for many years, and we will miss him, as we miss Catherine. As we were blessed to have had them as friends, we know you feel blessed to have had them as your parents. We are so sorry for your loss and offer our deepest condolences.
